Oh man.....my dream is to have a girlfriend who I can tinker around with cars with! That would be great, and it would definitely be a way for two people to be closer together.
As long as she's into it, I wouldn't try to get her into it if she's not too interested.....I wouldn't want her doing that to me with one of her hobbies.
As far as people paying to fix up my ride: my friend bought me some spiffy looking bulbs for my tail lights and my mom payed for my cam gear install and dyno tuning....that's it.
I would love it if someone came along and handed me money, but I'd still try and find some way to pay it off, whether it be just running errands for that person or whatever.
For the ladies: props to you for working on your car by yourself...I really respect that, especially since I'm not too mechanically minded and haven't even really done much personal wrenching with my car. I'd like to learn, but I don't really know too many people who do stuff on their own as far as cars go......but give me a computer and I'm good to go!
