I still say that even with a large number of members you can maintain a reputable site. It's just like a large corporation. You set the standards of expectations and create the atmosphere - and remain consistent. Those that create a professional atmosphere and continually raise the bar get good results. Those that are poorly managed and do not address issues as needed tend to lose control and the employees more or less "run the store".
We have the right people in place (an
exceptional group of moderators) and have been consistent in the tone we have set on the boards... We'll be ready when we hit 10,000
