if i wanted to pay double for the same speed i'd buy a Diablo.
the latest P4's are always $450-500 just for the chip. (and fan i believe)
the latest AthlonXP's are always $200-300 for the same speed chip (or faster actually)
2-22-02 on Pricewatch.com (lowest prices on the web, period.)
Athlon XP 2000+ $244.00
Pentium 4 2.2Ghz $468.00
basically these chips are identical in speed. though the p4 is almost exactly double in price.
