Yeah, I'm done with going to street races. Until January, cops really couldn't do too much around here in Southern Cali if your just spectating, but now they have a new law that allows them to give you a ticket for spectating, they can tow your car if they want, they can even arrest you. A few people got arrested that night.
What sucks even more is that I drove quite a distance from where I live, just to go because in my area there aren't any at all anymore. There used to be really good races less than a minute from my house, with lots of places to hide that I would never be found or caught, but cops got too organized.
I've never actually raced at the street races, that's just asking to get arrested and your car impounded. A few months ago 3 of my friends got their rides impounded, so it's really not worth it. Street racing is really fun to watch, I love it because it's something fun to do, but the consequences far outweight the fun. I'm taking my car to the track from now on, I can watch AND race without worrying about getting in trouble.
