even dynamic ips can be the same for many months... they dont hafta change the ip, but they can if they wish... now static you only get one and it never changes without divine intervention. you can try calling them but dont be surprised when they tell you to hush and use what you have. cable people are famous for that.
most cable nowadays is dynamic and most dsl is static but yours may be different.
