and im going crazy. i fractured my thumb last week and goddamnit everything i do you need a thumb for. i cant open a goddamn door with my right hand unless its a handle and not a knob. i cant light a lighter unless i use my index finger which sometimes shoots the lighter out of my hand. i cant eat anything that required in depth cutting with a knife or presicion stabbing with a fork. i actually can play guitar strangly enough which is kinda keeping my sanity although i cant use my thumb to pick strings, i just kinda godda use a pick for everything. oh yeah writing... throw that out the window i'd be better off holding the pen in my fist and writing like that. i cant break up any herbs that might need breaking up. i cant answer my phone with my right hand, or get anything out of my right pocket unless i can grab it with 2 fingers, whcih isnt easy when you godda keep the thumb out of there. i could go on... and will. i cant ash a cigarette with my thumb i cant play basketball(which caused this whole mess to start with). i can bairly type even though this damn splint dosnt hit the keyboard very well... or too well, depending how you look at it. on a lighter note its not throbbing in pain anymore and swelling has gone down alot. movment is back to 90% but it still hurts to do anything that requires pressure or movment of the thumb... except super smash brothers, i seem to be able to be able to use a game cube controller pain free as long as its just A adn B buttons
