Mutant Antibody
Well, I just really watched my first trailer for X-Men 3 (Ive been trying not to pay attention to trailers for things I want to see...makes the movie a better surprise and all).
Anyways, just a short rant:
Mutant antibody? Sorry, but an antibody isnt going to cure crapola mr marvel universe. Now, Im willing to admit that Im nerd-enough to know that the mutations in X-men are just like mutations in the real world - theyre genetic...antibodies attack foreign invaders in the body, at the cellular level.
Even if you want to say that their implimenting a forced immunization, its still not going to affect anything at the level of molecules in a double helix.
Gene therapy. Thats the only way to cure a mutant. Though I can see where that would be harder to use on an unwilling population. Still, if I were a mutant, I wouldnt have much to worry about, since therapy using retroviral vectors doesnt work most of the time anyways...people just tend to die. Perhaps not bad if youre against mutants, but not all that great if you want it done quickly.
Ah, the apparent flaws with comparing reality and fiction.
