little science lesson...
red colors (and variations there of) have longer wavelengths then white light and blue light. therefore colors such as red, yellow, orange generally have a better seeing distance in most conditions. thus a reason factory bulbs (no HID) are more of a yellowish/amberish hue and not true white

Blue lights (therefore blue bulbs) have the shortest wavelength of all the colors in the spectrum. short wavelength = shorter distance of illumination.

warm colors = better lighting
cool colors = shitty for lighting
