If you use 225, it will rub. I think the suspension on the EX and HX is the same. I have used 215 before and there are times when I rubbed.....
As far as performance, the HX has a very economically friendly ECU and emission. Last time I checked, nobody makes a cat-back system for that cuz of the location of the catalytic converter which is directly below the runners. What I've seen people do is completely convert the exhaust system to an EX. This will require using EX header, catalytic converter, and exhaust pipe. I wouldnt know what to do with the ECU tho. In your case, an EX OBD2a ECU might work... but dont quote me on that. After all, you do have VTEC, just for a different purpose. VTEC-E.
