The price difference is pretty big. However you can get everything you need to run a Hondata system less than what I listed from H-T. I see it all the time under classifieds. I've seen it as low as $600 with everything.... used
But as I mentioned before, you will gain more with Hondata. Also, OBD2 tends to trip a CEL code 13 (barometric pressure) under an AFC "hack". It doesnt affect the performance of the car, however it's just annoying to be seeing that yellow light all the time.....
If you decide to do the AFC hack, I say get at least the right injectors vice a DSM 450cc. Get the RC 440 or 550 cc saturated injectors. DSM injectors doesnt act well on "hot start".... when the weather is hot or with the engine being hot. Sometimes it takes me a couple of clicks and hold the starter engaged for a few seconds to get the car going. Since you will be going Hondata later on anyway, you might as well get the right injectors. The Hondata website doesnt recommend DSM 450cc (peak & hold) anyway. RC, Lucas, Precission, or Seimen injectors will be okay.
