The general rap term "G" refers to a "gangsta"... G-unit I believe is simply an assembly of various "gangsta's".

Wendy Williams has been yammering on for ever about a couple major rappers who are gay and everyone in the scene knows but no one talks about it.

I didn't know who lloyd banks was either though.
