That star's metal content also means its older than our sun, since fusion creates elements in stages starting w/ Hydrogen and moves ultimately to Iron. It could be on its way out, and by the time we get anything there, it could already be gone.
Pretty cool though. If anything, we may be able to use the planet as an alien-mine
