it improves pedal feel...not really braking power.
Ibe seen and heard a lot (too many) people getting dirt in between the mesh and then having the teflon line tear because of it.
If I could cover the lines w/ a sheeth or something it would be safer. Though I think I have found some that come w/ a plastic coat @ king motorsports. I will call them tomorrow to ask about details
