Don't forget that we trained bin Laden to fight the Soviets. We also trained Noriega. And also pumped money into some of the Taliban folks. Most of our top "evil enemies" in the last few decades have been funded by and/or trained by the US for some other political cause, and we're suffering a little something that the CI(sic)A calls blowback. Next stop is probably the Kurds or Iraqi security forces.
