^ I just remembered what happen once. I had this program change an .ini or .cfg file for IE and it would always redirect my activity through another IP. This slowed my system down a lot and I bet it's the same issue you're having just newer technology. I personally suggest that you download and install Netscape, see if it does it there. If it doesn't then you can just add/remove IE, erase associated files, then download and install from MS website. If google is crap in Netscape then I'd just go free program crazy comp search for google hacks/freeware/spyware/adware/virus/worm sort of stuff..

Clear cookies and downloaded and temp files too. Check IE settings, make sure nothings been messed with, maybe turn security way up and see if it flags anything.
