T3T04 turbos are still trimmed in a few ways. There are T3T04e and T3T04b with different A/R as well. My T3T04e is a 57t with 63 A/R. This is basically one of the bigger T3T04 hybrids. If you can get a T3T04b with a 48 A/R, it will be okay for that D16. Expect to feel some lag still tho, just not as much.

One thing you have to worry about when choosing your turbo, is to consider where the redline and peak horsepower of your motor. If you choose a bigger turbo, this will have a relative effect on when you will gain power across the RPM band and if you are even in the efficiency area of that turbo.

I say decide on what compression ratio you plan to do. Then figure out the "CFM" (flow). This will help you decide on what turbo size you should get......
