throttle cables are tightened to increase sensitivity
give more throttle when you "blip" the pedal
(all you do is losen the nuts, lessen the slack(NOT taught), and retighten the nuts) If you make it too tight the throttle will not close all the way and your idle will be too high.

to wire in a vtec(no "-") indicator you just wire a pos. lead from the vtec solenoid to an led or light and ground it somewhere. Its pointless because you can hear/feel it anyways, and it always comes on at the same time/place/rpm. Its just as dumb as having a mess of gauges when you dont need them.
