I had an old roommate who did HVAC work. He got sent to a place where they make the Girl Scout cookies. He opened up a vent high up in the plant and dropped a whole shit load of bugs and larvae into a huge vat of cookie dough. The guy told him not to worry about it, that the FDA allows a certain amount in all vats.
Yummy.
Needless to say, he doesn't eat GS cookies anymore.

If we knew anything about half the food we ate, there would be a lot of stuff we probably wouldn't eat anymore.
I've heard too about the FDA allowing a certain amount of bugs and such pass inspection. Our health teacher in high school told us all about it....mouse droppings, insects, you name it. Mmm, makes me hungry.
