That's what I'm saying...if you think of each other that way enough to throw the word around, then why is it so wrong if someone else says it? Black folks who defend the use of it say they do it to "take the word back" and to "make it their own". If that's the case then you shouldn't get pissed at all when someone says it. So for the moment, let's forget the word "cracker". There's a lot of other slurs for whites based on your heritage that aren't taken anywhere near as serious. among these are: kraut, limey, wop, shylock, ginny, mick, frog, whitebread, cakeater, etc. Now if someone throws out one of these words at me I feel not only entitled but obligated to throw their's back at them. But no no...that's a hate crime (or at least hate speech). It's just the whole "black pride" thing. You say you've got black pride and people are proud of you. You say you've got white pride and you're automatically a racist. Black folks and white folks do the same stupid shit and if anyone gets to be proud, everyone gets to be proud.
