True you lose more water weight, however there's truth to losing real weight faster as well.

The extra clothes weigh more, so you're hauling more weight (and you're less aerodynamic if you run outside) so you work that much harder to run the same distance.

How much of a difference you'll see is a different story.

You can also run with ankle and wrist weights, although that would probably be uncomfortable. I have seen some people run with the small 1-5 lb. dumbells in each hand, gives you a better upper body workout and makes your run a little harder.
