the self-advertising just kills me

but he's right for low-end torque you will get teh ebst results from a shortram, because think about it. the piping for the CAI is long and runs up through the engine bay until it pulls into the throttle body, the engine emits heat, the heat warms the CAI tube, the "cold" air is heated, you have warm air. So unless you want to wrap the CAI in a heat insulator 3 times over why not just get the cheaper version. I got my AEM Short Ram intake from www.styledright.com, free shipping and handling, no tax (at least for Florida)
another thing to take into consideration, does it rain alot where you live? are there normally puddles?
well a CAI is so much more likely to suck up water and put your engine into hydro-lock, so if it rains or floods more than most places get the ShortRam

as far as brand goes, they maybe the same or they may offer a slightly different coating or quality piping and filter, my friend has a INJEN intake and it's nice but my AEM roxers the boxers plus its got a beautiful sound
good luck with you decision, take everything I said into consideration and happy hunting
