Well...I just think the rest of the world is a lot more....shall we say...esoteric than we are. I don't think they're so fastidious and stubborn when it comes to things that they don't quite understand. I wasn't by any means trying to dredge up an evolutionary debate again like that nightmare we had a few months ago...just making a point. I couldn't agree with you more about the bible as a way of conveying parables...but many people would question whether it mentions aliens. There are pieces of it that some have interpreted as ancient descriptions of alien sightings (like a "fiery chariot in the sky" or crap like that). You've got to remember that a lot of people 2,000 years ago explained away unexplainable things through religion and symbolism.
