I don't trust the government much, but I do recognize the need for secrecy in many cases.
Now I'm not saying that aliens or anything of the sort have visited our planet, live on our planet currently, or that the government has any experience with aliens.....however, would you really want to see undeniable proof of the existence of aliens on this planet?
Before answering that, don't just think about your own curiosity or what you can handle hearing or knowing. Think about the collective populus of the world and the implications such knowledge would have for the world.
Personally, I'd like to know if aliens exist and any info I could know about them. But I doubt whether the world could really handle such knowledge....but then again, I don't give people much credit either.
