hydrolic refers to the clutch engagement... not the shift linkage..
when he said you have to cut a hole for the cables he means for the shifter not the clutch... the shifter is cable operated... it does not use normal shift linkage like civics do...
Also keep in mind once you cut the tranny mount ear... you have PERMENANTLY settled on h22... there is just about no way to get a b or d back in there... w/o cutting and welding on a new mount point...
Also it's a LOT of torque... too much imo.. you will end up spinning your wheels ALL the time...

Oh and also remember that you will have SERIOUS issues passing emissions if they even approach tough... 1.5/6 to 2.2 is a BIG increase in displacement...
and generally swap instructions say you should eliminate egr which will almost guarantee a fail on emissions...
but you WILL have WAY WAY more power then if you turboed you current setup or even mildly turboed a LS.
