for a real good paintjob you NEED a clean room and a baking room period.

If the paint is just left to dry on it's own you'll get ALL SORTS of contamination... even in a sealed up garage... much less outdoors or in a garage with a heating system...

my buddy had a guy who works at his station at nights (who works full time at a bodyshop) paint his car... and it took TONS of prep and TONS of finishing and it still came out all flawed because it was done in a recirculated air environment...

dust settles on the paint it doesn't dry properly... I mean you can get away with it sometimes but if your going to have it done for you then just pay the money up front...

the only way to save is to do most of the prep yourself... but that all depends on how confident you can do that well.
