Yep, Cutting, heating, or compressing springs are very bad ideas. Take it from me, I went the cheep route a while ago, and I am paying for it now.

It is best to spend the money; lowering springs, good struts, camber kit, and Get an alignment.

It makes no sense to drop a car for looks, if it handles like crap.
You will save money in the long run on tires and future alignments.
