No commercials. The listeners flip the bill, not advertisers. As for talking, there are a few talk-radio stations on both services. There are over 300 channels in 16 different genres (on XM)... I doubt that you'll hear the same crap over and over.
If I were to go get Satellite Radio, I would do XM. Sure, Sirus came out first, but I think XM has taken the lead and is a bit more innovative (and industry backed) then Sirus (although the Sirus atennas look cooler
).
