funny how this guy knows so much abut cars but the Honda Enginners design these engines to go 200k w/o any problems and that's with the prior 3k intervals, now they are designed to go 7.5k on an oil change because of an updated PCV system. And FWIW i have read that guys info and severly disagree with his opinions but like he says it's a controversial topic(every dealer tech and engine builder that i would deal with disagrees with him). You do realize that even changing the oil after 100 miles the rings don't even completely seat for about 2k miles right?? oh and you realize that a loose motor makes power, loose=fast but short lived
tight=less powerful but lasts longer. Sorry but i'll trust our guys in our R&D department, they tend to have a good idea of what's going on.

But i wouldn't know anything about all that.

unless your oil filter is about the grade of a water filter on a brita you aren't going to get all the metal out of the oil... guess R&D forgot to inform you on that.

Yes a loose motor produces more power, but one that doesn't seal right doesn't. I question where you get your information cause it sounds like you just know how to run your mouth.

I'll say it again, you dont have to follow his break in method. I wasn't saying you had to, he just worded the oil thing better then I could. So if you dont believe that your engine 'sheds' that much metal in the first 100miles get your R&D to run a test, compair 100mile oil change to a 3k oil change and tell me how much more metal is in the 3k over the 100miles.

Once you do that, and have proof one way or another (since you dont believe) then feel free to run your mouth. Cause as far as i'm conserned you're just talking shit for the sake of talking shit. As for me I offered information "change your oil after the first 100miles" that could do NO damage. Where you came along and opened your mouth for no good reason, cause if you knew what you were talking about you would realize there is NO harm in changing your oil early but rather more to gain from it then not.

So dude zip it,cause theres a good chance someone might know something you dont know and if you go shooting down information everytime it doesn't match whats in your head then you aint gonna ever learn.

I'm gonna say that jsut because a motor will 'run' for 200k doesn't mean its worn in properly nor does it mean its producing the max power if could be if treated correctly. I guess you aren't worried about power loose, are we not on a performance forum?

God this is like working with childern, everyone has to be an expert at being a dick. STFU if you dont know what you're talking about, I dont know why i even wasted teh time to type this up cause its wasted on people like you. Hope someone worth while reads this and enjoys the benifit of ONE early oil change, heaven forbid you might learn from someone else, pull your head out of your ass dude. Thanks for being a dick!
