OK look here's how it IS.

MOST cars use 9004's

92-95 civic's use 9003's 9003 and h4's both fit in the same slot. HOWEVER... h4's are higher current and CAN cause a fire, melting of wires, or blown fuses in a car that's supposed to have 9003.

they make a kit specifically for my gen civic to convert to h4.

h4 and 9003 ARE different.. and 92-95 do take 9003's.

after that I believe they went to h4's but I don't KNOW.
