*AHEM*
You seem to have infered an aweful lot from my post. Please show me where I said rapper = ghetto. No...seriously...show me. The simple fact that you infered that tells me that you're a tad defenseive about this.
Now...You also seem to have a vast lack of knowledge of the difference between rap and hip hop. Hip hop is a style and culture and rap is it's bastard child. Black Eyed Peas were cool...but they were hip hop. Same with The Roots (although I was never a big fan of theirs). Just like Blackalicious, Latryx, and Jurassic 5...it's all hip hop. Subsequently, hip hop has MCs...not rappers.
As for taste...it's like the old saying "there's no accounting for taste". Do I have to like what you like? No. Is the inverse true? No. On one last note, how do you know where all of us grew up? I spent the better part of the first 10 years of my life living in what I'd call a barrio (for lack of a better word) in Houston. It was a lower class crime ridden neighborhood that was vastly hispanic. Although I live in a nicer area now I still have friends that live in the "ghetto" area and love most of the folks who live over there. So think twice before you call anyone a f*ckin suburbanite.
