I have the b&m and I wouldn't recomend it unless you have short legs and long arms... it's not bent like the stock shifter so it sits too far forward.
I'd definatly go with the cheapest one you can find. It doesn't take more than 10-20 Ft/Lbs to engage a gear so if your breaking shifters then your just pulling/pushing too hard. a shifer could be made of wood and not break under normal opperation.. it's when kids think that slamming gears somehow makes them move faster.
Go cheap. My 2 bits.
