lowering help

I need some advise on lowering my civic LX. I still have stock everything except projector lights and a sound system but i think that it sits too high. my friend lowered his 89 corvette for only $10 for materials and it performs awesome. If anyone has any idea how to do something like this without buying springs for a few hundred i would greatly appreciate it. i just spent alot on new fenders, bumpers and paint and now im a little low on cash.

just save up and do it right. suspension is not someything to mess with. i think you could use some ties but that will prevent the spring from extending.

Cut springs won't handle well at all (if that's what your friend did).

You get what you pay for in the long run! Id pick your self up a nice set of lowering springs or coilovers

Might I suggest some Dropzone coilovers on ebay? I got mine for about 90 dollars, and I can help you with installation also.
