88 Ford 5.0 Vs. 95+ Lt1 6 Spd Tran Am
 

Well i really am in shock after this one and have to let off some steam :) here goes

Its wednesday night (race night) and no one is around so i go watch south park and hit the street at 11pm for a cruise... on the side of the road i see a saleen mustang and a trans am with there flashers on. I honk the horn and pull over and wait for them to run it..... they dont, oh well i drive on slowly and bout 1/2 mile later the trans am goes past and slows a bit.. i flash him TOKYO EXTREME RACER STYLE ;) and we pull into a commutter parking lot offa da highway. TURNS OUT THE GUY IS TEST DRIVING THE ****ING CAR AND THE OWNER AINT THERE. I ask about the saleen and hes says he needs to PIN his car up against a close race to see if he wants to buy this car and the saleen broke, fuel pump style (DAMN FORD PRODUCTS! ;( ). anyway i say how bout a 13.5 mustang, he says the car has got just exhaust and i say lets go to light, i prestage tire(s) ;( and wait for light...... BOOOM turns green i spin a bit and hit 1-2 real nice look over I SEE HIS CAR RIGHT THERE AND TO BOOT THE ****ING FRAME IS LIKE 5 INCHES FROM THE WHEEL so from the lift i knew i was in some shit. Well 2nd to 3rd he has about 3 cars on me :crazy: :eek: :paranoid: and 3rd to 4th he got 7+ and pulling and at 110 the ****er got like 10+ on me. i pull next to him and he says SHOULD I BUY IT?. I SAY ILL SHOW YOU WHY YOU SHOULD, and we went from a 3rd beep.. this time he jumped it and pulled 15+ cars before i knew what to do.. well SINCE Ive raced c5 vettes and modded cobras before i was confused as to why i lost this one, we pull off to another commutter lot and i say 383?? hes like look for yourself, GUESS WHAT THE ****ER WAS TELLING THE TRUTH ALL HE HAD WAS HEADERS AND MUFFLERS!!!! NOT EVEN A ****ING K+N, and MASTERCRAFT 40 dollar tires to boot.
WELL TO GUAGE THIS CAR ive beaten a 11 second wrx from 0-80 before on a good launch with the other dude ****ing up, (BTW I WAS HUSTLED) Intake and exhaust my ass! ... and we raced for 100 bucks so he WAS TRYING, and yet from a roll like this guy in the ta WOULDA WON :bow:

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE FASTEST TIME YOUVE EVER SEEN A FREAKING SLIGHTLY MODDED STOCK TIRED TA GO??? im confused here and i need help!!!!

guess those cars are just fast....good try though....i dont know what else to say :no: :o

what gets me is ive taken down c5's like its my business (WELL STOCK AND SLIGHTLY MODDED AT LEAST) so im really confused with this one i mean that wrx i raced had me by like 5-6 cars from a roll and this trans am pulled me harder.. and the wrx runs high 11's( DAMNIT I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!)

i've seen a stock TA 96 run a 13.4@102 of ET drags, he prob had gears, full exhuast, thats a high 12, sure there was NO JUICE?

like i said i dunno it WASNT his car lofl, but for DAMN sure he had to have more that exhaust to take me off the line ive never seen a car hang like that not even wrx's and shit, AND ON MASTERCRAFT 40 DOLLAR TIRES!

maybe his internals was built to kingdom kung here....u would never see that..and plus the gears..other wise im beat about it

there is no way he had only exhaust.
Stock, LT1's are NOTHING. 99+ GTs can beat them so it's bull that his car only has exhaust. they run friggin 13.9-14.3 stock.
u shoulda called me, i would have liked to see this. he must have had 4.10's and much more. even when i had a good start i didnt beat you that bad and my car is quite a bit faster than a lightly modded LT1.

it was an LT1 righhttttt? if it was an LS1, the outcome is a little more believable but still was not stock.

actually it was an ls1 but dont they run high 13's too? i mean 40 dollar tires here!

remember the kid at englishtown with the new SS that did 13.15 and it was bone stock automatic...
on average they run 13.4. depends on the driver. our cars are right there, but if the LS1 has too many mods we're done.
cuz i beat a newer SS on the highway., i dunno how but i did a couple weeks ago on route 8.
