You could try an Optima (spelling?) yellow top battery

upgrade the 3 main wires under the hood first with 0 gauge. if it doesn't work, then get a battery. sometimes the biggest problem can be fixed with the simplest and cheapest solution. stock wires are poopy anyways;)

Just to help you out:

You installed a cap, which is short for capacitor, and the units are farads.

A simple explanation of a capacitor is that it is a device that stores electrical charge, making it a good source of potential energy for when your stereo needs it.

ferret? did you connect its tail to ground and shove speaker wire up its nose? j/k

An alternator install wouldn't be that bad. you just gotta get dirty and understand the belts and how to wire it up.

just out of curiousity, what guage are you currently running?

and definatly install some ot guage wire in place of your primary wire to your amp, your amp ground, and your negative terminal ground.

thankfully your not like the idiots in my town and run 8 guage to their huge wattage amps. I heard a story once of a guy that used speaker wire...
