Specs on a firehawk...

My friend has a 95 Firehawk pretty much stock except for a short-throw shifter and new exhaust. He's a pretty good driver, so what kinda times do you think he would get in the 1/4? What HP are we looking at?

Small block Chevy V8 single cam pushrod.
"Gen III" LS1, 16 valves
Sequential electronic fuel injection.
Released in 1997 for the C5 Corvette.

Horsepower 330 (SLP published value for 2000 Firehawk)

319 Aluminum, heat treated to T5
6-bolt steel bearing caps
"large journal" main bearings
Grey-iron bore sleeves
weight 107 lbs

Displacement 5.66 liters, 345.69 ci (Chevy says, call it a "350")
Compression 10.2 : 1
Redline RPM 6000 (computer limited)

I hope that is enough to help....

Those are the specs of the LS1 which wasnt put into firebirds until 1998, since this is a 95 it should have a LT1 making about 305hp and 335ftlbs of torque and was actually a 350.

People........know your competition better than your own car!!!!

V6 Firebird
T/A
Formula
WS6 T/A
WS6 Formula
T/A Firehawk
Formual Firehawk (VERY RARE, if ya find one, buy it!!!!)

That's the food chain. And if it's like a technical thing, then come a Lingenfelter Firebird Formula.

Supposedly high-mid 13 second 1/4 mile times... I would bet on low 14-high 13 times though.

Thank you for letting us know the "food chain" But ask yourself this: "Did my cutting and pasting help anyone in this thread? Did this even pretain to the question at hand?"

i don't think that was copy and paste because he spelled formula wong in the last row

and the "food chain" made me relize it is a lot better than the ws6, which can haul some serious ass;)

FAST97WS6 11-10-2002 09:45 PM

a firehawk is a firebird OR trans am, with SLP options! the older LT-1 modles, came with 315hp not 305.....the 96-97 WS-6 had 305 the 93-95 Trans am had 275 the 96-97 had 285....they should run high13s stock, all they really have over a regluar trans am, is a stiffer supsen. , bigger ram air box, SLP exhuast, and a few other things, there pretty fast, the fastest F-Bodies are the new firebird firehawks, no ground effects, no wing, less weight, they should run high 12s stock, unless you can't drive it, there ****ing awesome cars! a 95 firehawk is a bad ass ride, its the first yeah they came back, they had VERY rare 3gen firehawks, that were fast too! just my input!
