8 mile..... have you seen it?
 

Well tonight ladies and gentalmen I'm going to see 8 mile with some friends who work at the theaters. Yes a private screening of the movie before it comes out.

I will tell you all how it is when i get back later tonight.

people are hypocrites (sp?) they are quit to blame others for their problems and never look at themselves for the answers to their problems. Half the time you are cause of the problem, and whats with people who is always complaining?

Dont you people get sick of people who start their sentances with "you know what i hate... " or "It really sucks that..." why is it people always want to complain, save your breath and call someone who gives a shit abuot your problems, or maybe you shoudl shut your mouth and just do something about it.

I will definately see it tomorrow night after work. I am a huge fan of his and the movie is almost like his real life. It follows his rise to stardom almost to a T. I think its great that everyone told him he would be a nobody and he overcame all odds to fullfill his dream.

I don't like the fact that he puts down people who haven't done anything to him! Example: in the song "Without Me" he busts on Moby and says that nobody listens to techno. From my recollection, Mody never did or said anything negative about Eminem. It just irritates me! I know I may say things about people (although I try to watch myself), but I don't make it a public announcement.

maybe moby said something in private about eminem that you dont know about. I'm not saying the dude is without flaws but he is very forward with his ideas, and has always been singing about things in his life.

I'll be seeing it. Provided I can cash in enough pennies.:D

though i shall be leaving shortly to see it, if you dont want to konw about the movie dont come in here after reading this. I will say more then "it was good" or "it was bad" as if i was to be reading a review i would like to know more then that myself.

I will however not ruin the movie for people who have not seen it, then again its not like you can't find out what the movies about by reading up on his life. I will simply talk about acting, casting, directing.. the typical review stuff!

yah i want to see the movie...I think it looks like it'll be a good one...casting, directing, plot...everything. As for being a fan of Eminem...I can't say that I idolize him or anything like that or agree with everything that comes out of his mouth (even when he does interviews) BUT I can completely respect the fact that he will say what is on his mind whether it offends people or not. Not many people in this world will say exactly what is on their mind, he will and he's gettin paid mad cash for it. I say more power to him.

I must warn you the movie doesn't go as far into his life as you all might think but considering that it was well done. I believe it captured the feeling of being trailer park trash and wanting to get out and do something with your life.

The acting is nothing special, the people are all playing themselves and the directing isn''t anythign special. I did find it an interesting watch though and would recommend the movie to anyone who has ever listened to Eminem and wondered why he says the stuff he does. Before i saw 8 mile i wasn't truly sure why he said those things but after this movie I do. The movie also explains the title "8 mile" which most of you probably have no idea what it means.

out of 4 stars i would give it 3.

I actually think I know what 8 mile means...read about it somewhere, but that's just me.

Well Moby did trash eminem in an interview. Pretty hard also. Trashed his music and him. So eminem retaliated. As for the movie. I want to see it. I watched a little thing on the movie. They weren't showing clips. They were getting people who were coming out of this private screening and I didn't hear one bad thing about the movie. This one gurl was like "I don't even like eminem. I don't follow his life, and I don't really know who he is. But the movie was amazing."
So im going to see it tomorro

i just got back from seeing it.
It kicked ass...i kinda wanted more though...

True, I loved the movie, but felt like it could have gone on for 1/2-1h more, like it didn't have an ending. But I still loved it!

It did have an ending.....Called the rest of his life..

The first day this came out (Friday) its my understanding that it was sold out instantly. The theater around was selling tickets so people could sit on the ground. *cough* fire hazard *cough*;)
