slowEJ6 11-07-2002 01:07 AM

worthless. and no, i havent.

ShagginJet 11-07-2002 01:40 PM

Why would you want to?

pdiggitydogg 11-07-2002 02:58 PM

better off turbo charging it. Ive never seen a sc for a 5th gen...never thought about it either.

Addict 11-08-2002 01:43 PM

Not worth the time, effort, money or thought.........

Take that $3000+ and get a motor swap. Much more effective solution.

ShagginJet 11-08-2002 02:41 PM

You could motor swap and home made turbo for under 3k

Senshi 11-08-2002 05:33 PM

TURBO THE *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^_^

I have a d15b7 and don't know shit about hondas because this is my first (civ dx 95), but I can tell you they are quite slooowww. I hope you atleast have a stick!

My friend says v-tev engines are the shit, he says they're the best for the buck. I want to know what makes them special? Whats the biggest I can put in my civic? Can I smoosh a 3.0 v-tec in her with minor mods?

AzCivic 05-26-2003 12:45 PM

the JRSC will fit.

do a search in google for vtec, and i'm sure theres a legnthly explantion somewhere.

The biggest is the H23orF23(2.3ltrs). the 3ltr is possible just like anything is with enough money, but it will be the biggest pain in the ass ever.

Low boost would be ok, but the toothpic rods will break in a heart beat.

mylittlecivic 05-29-2003 01:09 AM

damn DX;(

I've seen people boost 10psi daily on the d15b. its all about tuning.

My friend tried it in his 95 d15b, lasted 2 weeks, But who cares its my opinion that the d15b is not boost or bottle friendly.

AzCivic 05-30-2003 12:36 AM

i'm not saying to do it, just that its possible. if I wanted to boost one i'd just get a greddy kit and run 6psi.

Mirkwo0dForest 05-30-2003 11:23 AM

wut car does a 3.0 VTEC come in?

guy that wants to supercharge.... don't....
i doubt they even make superchargers for 5th gen non-vtecs... i hav a DX too... *sigh*

Anyway if you hav that much money u should definitly do for a motor swap...
b18b - 142 HP
b18c - 170 HP
b16a2 - 160 (i think)
anyway one of those motors would be your best choice. i think u could keep it under $3000 too...
