I remember reading something like 500,000 elected officials in the US and 300 or so are openly gay (mostly women).

in ontario there was a story about a few months ago about how a gay politition got insulted in parliament... a female member of the opposion shouted out... GO SUCK A COCK!!! i was laughin my ass off when i saw it on the news... she had to make a public apology though.....
