front lips
 

Im trying to get one of the lower lips for my 00 civic. Im not sure which one i like more, the mugen or the SI(type-r). Has any one bought one of these lately> I keep finding some for $65-90, are these going to be pieces of trash or will they work.

Also I need to find a good fitting type-r upper grill for my car, I bought one from ebay but the damn thing does'nt fit, its some piece of shit knock off that I see every where. Where can I get one of those that actually fit and look good.

You need to visit a shop in your area... that way if you get the wrong thing, it's their fault and you can give blame to them.

the front lip on my car is a replica piece that i bought for $100. abs plastic, its pretty strong.

get the mugen front lip, it looks sweet. get an Si upper grill, then you know it'll fit perfectly.

slow ej6- is your grill the upper SI grill, cause I am looking for a front end just like yours. So the Mugen lip on your car is a replica and its made out of abs and you like it. I thought that abs would be a way better way to go than fiberglass since it is more flexible. Oh ya where did you get your stuff at?? Thanx

well i have a 96-98 front end, so i just custom made the grill like that with some mesh.
yah its a replica of the 99-00 mugen style lip made to fit the 96-98 front end.
i got my stuff on www.groupbuycenter.com from the seller "yellowtyper" - great prices from him and quick shipping too, i highly suggest buying from him - he has the grills too if you want, they fit very nicely.

cheap lips might be ok, but definitely make 100% sure its urethane and not fiberglass..

b/c if u hit anything with a fiberglass lip, it will mosl likely crack right away..

urethane front lips arent easy to come by, and they are expensive. abs plastic works just fine. :yes:

so this thing just attaches to the bottom of the bumper right? Ive been looking into these too but I cant tell if anything is taken off or if this is just drilled and put onto the bottom. Same for the rear?

This might be a little late.. but I still give my .02 hehe... If your looking for a good fitting grill.. You might as well get the Si front grill.. You can buy the Si front grill from a honda dealership.. That's where I got mine.. Its probably going to cost you about $150 but if you have a hook-up..
