Stock 89 DX vs Stang 5.0 (Don't F*** Around)
 

I was messing with this mustang 5.0 the other day.... i knew he'd smoke me, but when i pulled up i noticed his monster tach and cluster tach. Couldn't figure out why he needed the monster, so as we rolled off i down shifted on his ass and reved to 6k. then he's like are you serious. he pulls up to me, monster tach reading 4k, i could see it form my car. i was in 4th doing 60 up a slight grade, dropped to 3rd and started to pull. He laughed, dropped gears and brought his car up to 5k and flew by me....

The funny part is that i could read his tach the entire time from my car... lol.

(Can't wait to get my turbo)... goodbye 5.0's!!

lol i love ****ing with 5.0's i actaully kept up with one for like 6 seconds then he just changed gears and was gone...i scared a few too...hehe:bandit: :rambo:

Monster tacks are easily readable and often have tach lights so you don't even have to look at the tach.. most ppl get them cause everyone else has one though...

I took a newer GT (don't know what year) when I was back in the States in May....I was driving back from Memphis on the highway just cruisin' along when this GT comes flying up on my ass....so I down shifted and took off....he followed me and started to catch up when I went in between a few cars and got about 5~6 car lengths on him...looked down at my speedometer and I was doing 110 and decided to slow down....he caught up to me and gave me a thumbs up.....

NOW....before I get flamed, let me add this little tidbit of info...when he pulled up next to me, I saw that he looked about 16 or 17 so he's probably wasn't that experienced of a driver so it was probably more driver skill than performance that let me take him......

nice run, 5.0s arn't really shit, i like them, but when you get your turbo let me know what you run, because i am moving to socal this may, camp penliaton, sooooooooo maybe we could run:)
