funny story
 

a couple of weeks ago, i was driving home on the highway one night and this dumbass yuppy in a bmw 5 series was driving so slow in the fast lane. i was in my 92 accord lx(got a 2003 accord lx last week). i hate when people do that, especially if they dont move when you flash the high beams. anyways, i was tailing him, trying to get him to move. the ****er tap his brakes....thinking i would back off. but i didnt and then he starts giving me the finger. so i pull up next to him and he rolls down his window and starts swearing at me. saying shit like "this is a bmw you prick..." and he also said something about bavarian engine shit. so i just gave him the finger, yelled out "VTEC MOTHER ****ER(while pointing to my hood)" and gunned it. the funny thing is that my 92 accord doesnt have a VTEC engine. but just felt like saying it anyways to the asshole who wouldnt move.

also .. why were you braggin about V-tech when the new 5 and 7 series come with Valve-tronic, which blows the doors off of Vtech

vtec... and yes, honda's vtec is primative compaired to BMW's and ferrari's valve lift system

alright to answer a few questions, i wanted to pass the guy on the right but there were cars on the right lane. so instead of being stupid by swerving in and out of traffic i stayed in the fast lane hoping the guy would finally move over. i gave the guy a good 3 or 4 minutes to move his car over but he wanted to be a prick about it and just sit there in the fast lane while there was 4 other cars behind me. and about saying yelling VTEC at the end...just messing with the guy for kicks. so what if he was in a BMW which probably could have smoked me. depends on the driver of the car doesn't it??? i could have been driving a beat up ford escort from the 80s and probably still would have done the same shit. i guess people didn't find the irony about me yelling vtec since my car at the time didn't have a vtec engine in it. o well...

well u could've honked the horn after the flashing of the highbeams didnt work... it would've been safer... it probably would've made the guy speed up a little.. and piss him off less than the whole tailgaiting thing.....

yeah i could have done that but you try honking with those dinky old horns on my old honda. snapping my fingers would probably have been louder...

When I clicked on this thread I thought I'd actually see a funny story...damn...I was wrong. If anything this story kinda makes you out to be a bigger ass than the guy in the 5 series. Sure, going slow in the fast lane is dumb, but so is tailgating someone on the highway and then lying about what's under your hood. And, when it comes to a 5-series BMW vs. a base model Accord driver doesn't matter. He would've made you his ***** and then laughed to his yuppie friends about annihilating some punk kid in a Honda. Also, I seriously hope he DID yell something about his engine...BMW motors are (generally) top shelf stuff and not even in the same league as a '92 Accord motor which is just basically transportation. Now...I don't know you as a person so I won't cast any aspersions about you or your character, but this story is both ridiculous and just plain retarded. Learn to control your temper.

Your lucky you got a nice guy...i probably would have SLAMMED on the breaks causing you to bust your head on the window:banghead: . After i callled the cops because you just crashed my 40+ thousand beamer i would have beat the hell out of you for tailgaiting me and not getting off my ass after the first time i tapped my breaks. Of course....that just me though.

I have an issue with tailgating...:paranoid: but i will normally just pass the person at the first opportune time and not do anything. What I have a problem with is when people tailgate me and I'm doing well over the speed limit and there is room to pass me. And then them giving me the finger. WTF is that sh!t? I could see if I were doing under the speed limit or what have you...but I NEVER do under the speed limit unless I'm pulling out from a stop. I dunno...yah I was sorta expecting a joke and apparently I didn't catch the irony in the story.

I'm sure if we were in the car with you and you did that...we'd laugh...

just because your doing over the limit doesn't mean you can be in the fast lane. I've noticed alot of people who think because they are going "fast" they can hang out in the left lane. Sometimes I come flying up behind some of these people and they just sit there and we're doing 55mph in a 50zone or sometimes even doing 70 in a 55zone. Either way if theres room to pass on the right its not my place to move. they are the slower car and it should be their job to move over.

it's illegal in PA to "cruise" in the left lane. people do this to me in the right hand lane:paranoid: or on roads that have the passing zones.:paranoid:

in Texas...the only legal way you can stay in the left lane is if you're actively passing someone.

In canada you can pass on either side, but you should be passing a car if your in the left lane

yes... but because of a growing lack of respect to the road and fellow drivers... people now think they own the road.. and drive in the left lane because they feel they can and since they own the road, they dont have to move... which leads to people ending up to go to the right lanes in order to pass

and to show how pathetic drivers in toronto are... this is a common occurance, there's a slow driver in the left lane.. one, two, three......etc... cars pass the slow car to the right... then theres a break where all the cars have passed the slow person... the person still stays there (left lane) and another group of faster moving cars catch up and have to do the same thing.. its pathetic

damn, florida they let you just drive, but it really bothers me when people start getting on my ass when they can easly pass me in the other lane. i think 90 in a 70 qualifys me to be in the fast lane. expecialy when the slow lane is doing 85 most the time, then theres an open spot, but the jackass who thinks that 110mph is the fast lane needs to learn to turn that wheel to the right and get past me. if he rear ends me on the highway, its his damn fault

yep we just started that...it's the "no cruising in the left lane" law. This is part of the reason I got pulled over last time :paranoid: :crazy:

man i stopped coming to this thread because i thought it was done, but i guess not. i read some name calling about me and stuff. but whatever....i dont know whats up your ass. why dont some of you find a sense of humor. not to be rude to you guys, because i wasnt trying at all. just having a little fun with the baby boomer in the bmw which he didnt even bother to take care of. i dont think he even had the balls to race me in my "base model Accord or even get out of his car and "beat the hell out of" my 200lb ass.

maybe if you actually read the story...but the guy was just sitting there in the very left lane. i always thought passing on the right was illegal, atleast in MA but i may be wrong. he was the one who should have moved his ass over. the left lane is for passing. i am not an A-hole driver. but its people like that guy in the bmw that piss me off. i gave him more than ample time to move over but he didnt want too. i dont know...maybe his michael bolton cd was too loud or maybe he was just a prick. i flashed my high beams first before getting up on him. but ...alright...yeah maybe i was wrong...psych.

i know what kind of cars BMWs are. a few of my friends have own them....new ones too, not like from the age old 80s. i am not some "punk kid" giving honda drivers a bad name and who likes tailgating people....making me sound like some childish kid in a dinky accord. i have been driving for almost a decade now and am for the most part a safe and smart driver. that was just a bad night and it pissed me off that the guy didnt want to move. so watch who you call "punk". i wasnt being rude to you so please dont be rude to me. keep on writing shmack if you want but i'm done with this thread
