raced a bmw tonight. i was like a whole car length and a half ahead of the guy when he even started ahead of me. his car had modifications on it too I believe. im not sure what model it was but it was like a 98 or 99. i really didnt expect to win. :eek:

Hmmm..

Did it look like a hatchback or sedan? I know the 318's are slow as hell. The 323's are a lil faster but not a whole lot.

'99 323i

it was silver sedan, it had a body kit and stuff.

You gotta watch out for some of them beamers out there. My friend owns a (i think dont quote me on this) '88 325 and he gives a few of the honda's that have exhaust and some other minor bolt ons a good run for the money.

it must have been the 318i otherwise the rest will spank a little civic any day. Even in an auto they are faster then a civic.

I can beat the 323i's easily. Done it before. They aren't that fast. Now the 328 is a different story.

:rolleyes: he seemed to know how to drive. you dont just get your car hooked up for no reason if you dont know how to race it, or dont plan to atleast..most i know. but not all bmw's are fast. id buy an acura over a bmw anyday. people just want them for the name and because they're expensive. material matters.

i'd say bmw in their 5 series and 7series make some nice cars. I dont think they skimp out on quality. how many car companies make a car like the 540i in a 6sp? it does mid 6's 0-60. I have been told on many occations that they just dont seem to stand up, and are always in the shop for minor problems.

I would love to drive a bmw, though i find it hard to justify the jump in cost to get somethign matching the interior of the 3.5RL; which seems to have the best value on the luxury car market.

Well for $56,000+ a 540i better have everything..... Damn things are pricey.....

bmw's are great cars find a nice older one for a good price.
