I just thought I'd post a complaint that I have. I don't know if it happens so much other places, but around where I live, I ALWAYS get these V8's pulling up to me on stop lights & revving their engines WAY up like they want to race... I'm like uh...hello? :crazy: I have 4 cylinders...did you miss that? I mean (& not to get you started SVT, I'm not being mean) but c'mon! :D
I actually had a Cobra pull up to me & do that the other day! It's like hey... I may have 700 visual horsepower.... but VISUAL horsepower & ACTUAL horsepower are 2 TOTALLY different things. ;)
Any of you guys have this problem?

i ususaly get all sorts of cars wanting to race me, probobly cause my lazy ass hasnt taken the track numbers off the side of my car.

:yes: see though, I don't have anything like that, so I don't know why they think I 'wanna run 'em' er whatever... I guess maybe my car just 'implies' speed? :rolleyes:

I never have anybody try to race me... well hardly ever.

I have both a 2000 civic ex and a 91 mustang gt 5.0 and I never rev on anyone unless I think my stang is about to stall. Then I will rev some to just keep it alive. I don't see a point to rev on someone. Take it to the tracks.

i don't get that too much. i got once a stang rev and pull up on me but my car is slower than dirt so forget it.

3/4 the cars that do that to me are imports including hondas, integras, CRXs.. that kinda crap.. i don't street race.. but it's an irritating little bumble bee sound those fart tips make..

I wanted to say that I think 4 cylinders only come in I or H shapes (Inline or the H shape, I think, not sure!)

H4 is the horizontal(opposite, boxer engine like subarus have)

GRRR!! I get that all the time. I live in a really Redneck town. Everyday I have V8 owners revving on me, I hate it! My car is slow and I know it. One day I had 3 rev on me in a 2 hour period. How stupid are they? :rolleyes:

My favorite thing tho is when they follow me home. I have really curvey roads and my car handles very well. Ill get these guys riding my ass, and they have drag springs and skinnies..:D They cant corner for shit.. :no: Though I wouldnt want to mess with them in a straight line.:o

i always get it....i had a suv revving on me last night on the way home from an RC thing.....revving and revving - i looked over and shook my head in disgust. i do that often.

I honestly think that's the best thing to do...I mean what's the point..I'll race on the track..and I know I'll lose...I have said it before...they should have named my car the del slow...but I still love it....My ex and I used to point and laugh and make fun of people who reved on us...we would roll down the windows and say shit to him...then he would race away all by his lonesome

this happens to me all the time the main road in town is a two lane one way road and guys are always pulling up and trying to flirt then they rev their engines and most of the time theyre in old crappy cars so i just floor it and drive away. other then that i havent really had anyone try to race me sometimes i bring it on with other hondas but we stay at low speeds just try to see who can get ahead the fastest.only time some fool tried to race me was in my sisters jetta he was in a v6 mustang the light turned green and he ate my dust.;)

I can't hear any cars revving over my beautiful sound system :)
Happened to me all the time before i got my system installed. All these late 80's/ early 90's accords with shopping cart spoilers would pull up, see the integra badge, and start revving :crazy:

happens to me all the damn time living around the "Motorcity" area. Tons of 'stangs and 'vettes. They all do that to me at the light...any light...even the same cars at the next light down the road. idiots. Me and my stock exhaust still sitting out for all to see. WFT?! so I just look at em like they're fools, rev mine for a 1/2 second and pull a Marty McFly ala Back to the Future. They peel off like a bat outta hell and I drive off like nothing ever happened. Makes em really look like morons. :D

orlando just pased alot of street racing laws, so i even have more reasons not to do it. 3rd offence i think they keep your car for good

with my windows up i can't hear anything but if a horn was to honk outside. Car rides to quiet, if i want to race i bring it on with other imports, i leave the rustangs alone.

Maybe they didn't want to race you, maybe they just wanted to say "hey" wink.

You both lose. Engines come it whatever shape someone makes them! Don't tell me you've never seen a V4.

I haven't seen a W4, but I'm sure VW has tried. :)

You must not have very loud mustangs where you live.. The ones here are so loud they will hurt your chest!:eek:

Damn man...same here..and trucks...stupid trucks that I can't talk to my friend if my roof's off
