Astro-Jet Pulse Amplifier
 

Has anyone heard of the Astro-jet pulse amplifier? It is supposed to be an accessory that attaches to your distributor and gives your spark plugs a little bit of a punch. However, i can't find where to install it in my civic. '94 Civic 4DR Automatic. Has anyone heard anything bad about this product (astro-jet)?

why would your spark plugs need any punch?

Well, i went to the LA County Fair and there was this demo for the above mentioned product. It is supposed to give you more efficient use of your spark plug. I dont know if that helps you any...but yea.

Well I found the above and a few other sites where people had problems with them. I'd never heard of it before.. I think you'd be better off with a MSD ignition/coil/cap setup though that surely would be much more pricey.

My personal feelings- try it out. you've already bought it so if you like it- cool. but usu. if someone has to try real hard to sell you something or showoff on a 'performance part' (esp. if they are at a county fair) then chances are you're living an infomercial.

Just cause they say it- doesn't make it true. If it worked as well as they say it did you could probably find it just about anywhere..

indeed. the person "demo-ing" the product said it would be in stores like sears and auto-zone in a month or two, so i thought i would wait and see if it did show up there...
