90-93? integra LS with dohc vtec

My friend's got an integra LS with a dohc engine in it...he said it has like 140 HP or so...what engine is this?...i wanna know because i'm gonna buy it from him and put it in my civic...and we're gonna use the money that i give him and put a type R engine in there...

it's a B18A1, non-vtec. like you said it has 140 hp but not too much torque. My accord has more balls than my 92 integra LS

alright...I'm still gonna buy it...lol, it's better than my stock civic engine with 180000 miles on it...
So i'll be probably getting that and soon after maybe a turbo...do you think a grand is pretty good for the engine?

hmm i think it's fine. are you getting the tranny with it ? i think you can't mate the B with the D series engine trannys

ChrisCantSkate 09-15-2002 11:32 PM

b and d you can im pretty sure... i know you can mate f and h... but if he's getting rid of it, do you get the tranny too? save your money on the type-r IMO. get a b18c1(gsr) and just use the left over money to mod it.

accord, pfff. Sorry, late 80s - early 90s accords seem to be the weapon of choice for ricers around here.
