help installing auto meter silver tachometer
 

i got a 5" auto meter sport comp. silver tachometer. and i was wondering how to install one. i know i could have gotten an EX or LX cluster, but i figure, a nice 5" tach would make my car look like high price rice ;)

so you don't have a tach in already. did it come with any instructions ? usually they do. i think you need to hook it up to the ignition

all i know is that one wire is to be hooked up to the distrubtor cap, and to make sure you hook up another wire to the fuse box, not the battery. as for which wires, i don't know. and if there are anymore wires.

as for the instruction manual, i bought it off a guy in houston, so i don't think one will be coming.

under the hood near the firewall above the tire well there is a little blue wire going into this black rubber thing, that is your tach wire, connect the tach wire of the tachometer to that wire.. ignition, ground and i think thats it
