Hey moderators or anyone!!!!
I just got my brand new Apexi VAFC,in case you dont know im running for fuel management:
1 Apexi VAFC 2 Vortech Fuel pressure regulator 3 Prelude injectors(not a big difference) 4 Bosch 90 psi in line fuel pump So i was having problems but i just got my VAFC, but i took my car for a ride to set my fuel settings(here we dont have a dyno), so i started raising my fuel level in my afc you know, raising the injtrs pulse in the hi settings(4500-8000) and i raised my boost level to 9psi, but in this setting i dont have more fuel to set, i mean, i just set 9 psi in my boost controller and there was no chance to increase the fuel in case i wanted more boost!!!Why??? This is it??? Should i buy bigger injectors???:paranoid: i was running 5 psi and i got my afc to raise only 4 psi???if i try to run more boost my Air/Fuel ratio gauge goes tottally lean!!! What about Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo injectors?? Can those do the job???;( Basically my questions are: Why?? Is something wrong with my AFC settings? Do u think i should be able to run more boost with my stuff?? What about DSM Injectors?? Whats correction in the VAFC??? |
the h22a1 injectors are 330cc's either get those or go all out and get 720's or something you will probobly need a stand alone fuel managment system cause the AFC will only do corrections on the stock fuel curve, you cant make drastic changes like you can with a stand alone FMS. i'd look into either hondata or the aem ems if you can afford it. also keep an eye out for greddys new one.

With an AFC you can idle 370 fairly easy and 440s with some effort. With 440s it will be rich but it will idle. i think Eclipse injectors are 450s but dont quote me on it.
