ok toykilla, what are you riding on? you cant be hitting those speeds with cable?!

since i know how fast my connect is i'll just tell you as i download alot so i max my connection out. 400-500k/s download and 40k/s upload.

This test is fairly accurate. It would be more accurate if there server wasn't located all the way in San Antonio, Texas.

i use netpersec from www.pcmag.com it's a small utility that tells you the download and upload speed at any given time. it's neat check it out !

humm, just cable huh..

Some people are fortunate enough not to have there cable capped at lower speeds. Or they are smart enough to "uncap" it.....

I used to think it was possible to do that stuff, but then when I learned more onhow it works..


I'm pretty sure from our side, we cant do much to boost speed.

their test is terrible. my schools T3 line registered at best as 278k/s when all other tests are around 4.9 megabit/s

I didn't post it for their test. That test is in Britain so it should be a horrible result for you. I posted it for the info.......

I'm on a cable connection.
Actually, the first time I ran it, it was much slower than that. Then I realized I had reinstalled some things on my system and ran my cable modem speed boost - that managed to speed up my times considerably.
