tires or tranny???
 

ok when i am stopped at a stop sign and then i go, i feel this slipping thing going on sort of like a hesitation or something and then it picks up speed, wtf is it?? could it just be my tires or is it possibly the tranny??

For an auto, I dunno. I don't know as much about autos as manuals. The first thing that comes to mind is maybe the torque converter isn't functioning perfectly....and that's about the last thing that comes to mind.

Do you hammer the gas when you leave said stop sign? Does the problem occur when you are going slow and then try to pick up speed, like from 5mph or so, or any other speed?

But if it were your tires slipping, I'm sure that would be pretty obvious.
