ls engine.....redlined when?
 

After dropping in an ls engine into a 92 civic dx i dont kno exactly when to shift before redlining...i'm guessing when to shift which i think is pretty close but isn't precise..since the dx model had no rpm gauge i wanted to kno what is each gears top speed before redlining....i'll buy an rpm gauge eventually......thankz peace

i can get you an EX cluster....has the tach.

you can always get a autometer 2 5/16 tach, i like those, small and mountable anywhere. 8000 rpms.

yea i was thinkin of gettin an autometer gauge but there is so many out there to choose from....

i was thinking of changing my whole gauge cluster since it is still has the automatic shifting display.....but wouldn't it be illegal?....i'm not sure cuz the mileage on my car would be displayed differently on the gauge...i can't tamper with the mileage.....or could i?

you can adjust the mileage---or i can do it for you. well as long as you dont lie about the mileage you are good to go. you have a swap, not like the miles are correct anyway.
but, i have the EX cluster. if yer interested.

i swapped an EX cluster into mine for the tach as well. clean.

get a autometer tach...the ls redlines at 7,000rpm.....:rolleyes:

the ex gauge cluster goes to 9k rpm.....whats the sense of an ugly ass 5" tach? NOTHING.

LS:
1st gear i forget, u should feel it easy
2nd gear about 55-60 mph tops
3rd gear around 80 mph
4th gear around 115

I'll go out tommorrow, and get the EXACT mph, but this is what i can think of right now at night when i'm really freakin dead!

And the redline is 6900 on LS
